How to Use the Book This workbook is designed to provide extensive practice with the English Language Arts Standards, specifically the Foundational Reading Standard Skills. ArgoPrep’s 2nd Grade Spelling & Grammar workbook is divided into 20 weeks of content where students will learn a topic followed by various practice exercises and activities. In 2nd grade, students undergo a crucial phase of literacy development, requiring a balanced exposure to both literature and informational texts. These texts serve as tools for enhancing reading comprehension, language development, and knowledge building through various formats like read-alouds, shared readings, and paired readings. By the year’s end, 2nd graders should proficiently read words and comprehend age-appropriate complex texts. Our 2nd Grade Spelling & Grammar workbook is meticulously crafted to reinforce these foundational literacy skills. It offers a structured approach that aligns with the standards.
