Despite Everything: A Chronicle of Jewish Resilience in the Aftermath of October 7th

“During a surreal year in which so many of us have felt buffeted and unmoored, Rabbi Chaim Steinmetz unwaveringly found the words each week to keep us anchored and uplifted. This beautiful collection, Despite Everything, draws brilliantly on our wisdom tradition to remind us again and again how we’ve refused the darkness and endured.” (Abigail Pogrebin, author of My Jewish Year and It Takes Two To Torah ) “”During our darkest moment, when we were dizzy, numb, enraged, shocked, and, most of all, grieving beyond words, Rabbi Chaim Steinmetz found the words, week after week in the pages of the Jewish Journal, to nourish our souls and guide us through the fog. When we needed him most, he was there to bring us hope and strength through the light of Torah and the miraculous journey of our ancestors.”” (David Suissa, publisher and editor-in-chief of the Jewish Journal , speaker, columnist, and host of The David Suissa Podcast ) “”Rabbi Chaim Steinmetz is a national treasure — no, an international treasure. During these difficult times, Jews throughout the world are blessed to have his voice and now his writings — rooted in Jewish tradition, sources, and wisdom; responding to the challenges of the moment, and speaking in our forever-language of eternity.”” (Professor Gil Troy, Author of To Resist the Academic Intifada: Letters to My Students on Defending the Zionist Dream ) — ASIN: B0DJ68WWV9 | ISBN13: 9798340458070 | ISBN-13: 979-8340458070
