ATP 3-09.12 Field Artillery Counterfire and Weapons Locating Radar Operations

This publication contains the techniques used to plan and conduct field artillery (FA) counterfire operations, and for the employment and management of weapons locating radar (WLR) systems. It incorporates techniques on equipment such as the AN/TPQ-50 and AN/TPQ-53 WLRs. This publication retains information on the AN/TPQ-36 system that the Army is phasing out. The publication provides techniques on counterfire operations using division artillery (DIVARTY) and the field artillery brigade (FAB) WLRs and attack/delivery systems.
