The Genuine Orthodox Church of Greece: An Official History

In 1924, the Orthodox Church in Greece faced a profound and disruptive innovation that threatened the spiritual life of the faithful across the nation. This innovation was the first tangible manifestation of the pan-heresy of Ecumenism: the imposition of the anti-Orthodox Gregorian calendar, enforced upon the devout people of Greece by the official state church and its government agents. In 1935, a significant group of Orthodox Christians, led by a dedicated and steadfast assembly of hierarchs and priests, formed what would come to be known as the Genuine Orthodox Church of Greece, pejoratively referred to as the Old Calendarists. In this first-ever English translation of the official history of the Genuine Orthodox Christians of Greece, the reader will encounter the narrative of their holy struggle against the recent calendar innovation and the modern heresy of ecumenism, including the internal strife of the Church’s early years, extending to the present day where the Genuine Orthodox Church has found internal peace while remaining ever-vigilant against the heretical innovations imposed upon the Orthodox world. — ASIN: B0DF7JVWYH | ISBN13: 9798335899680 | ISBN-13: 979-8335899680
