Guarded By Jackals: Predators, the Public Officials Who Protected Them and Resolution of Michigan’s Most Notorious Cold Case

Color Edition. Nearly five decades ago, four children were kidnapped and murdered in Oakland County, Michigan. Police engaged in what was at the time the largest manhunt in the country. Yet not a single suspect was ever charged in what has become known as the Oakland County Child Killer (OCCK) case. The specter of the OCCK haunted all parents and children who lived in southeast Michigan and beyond. Over the years, several theories attempting to explain this case have been proffered. There is the myth that the killer was an evil genius who was toying with the police. There is also the hindsight view that the police investigation was sloppy and full of missteps. Nothing that you have been told about this case is true. The truth is as fascinating as it is disturbing. This book describes in detail citing facts and evidence how we were betrayed by those we trusted to keep us safe. It proves how public officials committed unimaginable crimes to protect an admitted predator who molested and murdered children. This book brings resolution to the OCCK case that some celebrated politicians desperately tried to keep unsolved for 47 years. You will understand how and why these crimes were committed and what must be done to prevent them from happening again. — ASIN: B0D9WFQV85 | ISBN13: 9798333646439 | ISBN-13: 979-8333646439
