Mother On (Emma Heaphy – Early motherhood poetry book collection)

From the author of Dear Motherhood , the book that has stolen the hearts of mothers around the world, comes the second in Emma Heaphy’s collection of honest and healing poetry and prose on early motherhood. Mother On is your very own manual on the continuation of early motherhood. Written through the eyes, mind and heart of a mother who is no longer new at mothering, but still faces fresh challenges every day, this book fills many of the never-ending gaps that this season brings. Within these pages you will find new learnings, unspoken realities and healing perspectives. The words will transport you through, and back to, key moments in your early motherhood journey. Moments that may not mirror the perspective of a first-time mother, but that reflect the continuation of learning through the words of a more seasoned one. From pregnancy, postpartum, and life with multiple children to judgement, shame and what that can mean for your relationship, this book covers it all. Quite simply, it will hold your hand, touch your heart, and leave you feeling seen, heard and validated. It will carry you as you mother on. “Emma’s heart-felt, and heart-warming words will affirm all of your feelings. You will feel heard and seen, knowing that you aren’t alone as you love and learn through the hard and the happy moments of mothering little ones.” Pinky Mckay, Author “Emma’s writing is exquisite. She goes right to the heart of the highs and lows of the magical mess that is motherhood. If I’m ever feeling alone in it all, a moment leafing through her musings makes me instantly feel more connected — to myself, to my child and to the other warrior mothers out there.” Ali Bastian, Actor “Emma’s words have been the balm for my soul more times than I can count. I’ve found comfort and validation in them and felt not so alone.” Dilshad B, Founder of The Gentle Mamma “Emma’s words speak straight to the heart of every mother, whether new or seasoned. Reading her words is like the comforting embrace every mother so desperately needs.” Rachael Shepard-Ohta, Sleep specialist and Founder of Hey Sleepy Baby — ASIN: 0473618753 | ISBN13: 9780473618759 | ISBN-13: 978-0473618759
