A Sliver of Serenity: Poetry and Prose

A mesmerizing nosedive into the beauties and burdens of existence. A Sliver of Serenity is the debut poetry book by Angel William . Mended from memory and nostalgia, the desperation and concerns that seem to never retreat. William’s work is fundamentally visceral, rich in mental landscapes, and includes annotations for two poems. While completing his Bachelor of Arts, Angel completed multiple courses in poetry and writing. Initially, he shied his poems to receipts and crumpled scraps that were tossed into a memory box beneath his bed. William is a maladaptive daydreamer, and a steadfast believer that things can become better – hence the “”Sliver”” in the title of his debut book. Wonderfully crafted prose and poetry about childhood, devastation, aging, appreciation, and wonder.
